About the Role:

As a key member of the Passenger Transport Team at Suffolk County Council, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of quality transport services in the region. This exciting opportunity is open to current redeployment Suffolk County Council staff only.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to answer questions about home to school travel and public transport in Suffolk.
  • Manage data to support contract management processes, including data about school holidays.
  • Ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time, and support the team with routine financial processes.
  • Contribute to reporting on all aspects of the team's work using Excel, Oracle, and the contract management system.
  • Collaborate with team members to create engaging social media content about transport services.

About the Team:

The Passenger Transport Team is part of the Growth, Highways and Infrastructure Directorate at Suffolk County Council. With a team of approximately 50 people, we work together to deliver safe, reliable, comfortable, and cost-effective transport services. The Finance and Data Team leads on ensuring suppliers are paid on time, providing information about bus services, promoting public transport, and reporting on all aspects of our work.
