Job Summary:

Oxa Autonomy is seeking an experienced Sensor Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer to develop and launch sensor suites in support of autonomous vehicle advancements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple sensor modalities, C++14/17 programming skills, and experience with time synchronisation and calibration in robotics applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain high-performance sensor drivers for low-power embedded devices
  2. Design and implement sensor introspection capabilities to ensure accurate sensor data
  3. Analyse and improve sensor data quality to achieve accurate real-world information
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to provide tools for vehicle commissioning, calibration, and synchronisation

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of different sensor types and their characteristics
  • Fundamental knowledge of C++14/17 programming
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively
  • Experience with software development for embedded devices and robotics applications

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience producing high-quality C++ code and participating in peer reviews
