Job Overview

The Senior Harvesting Operations Manager will provide strategic oversight and technical support to our Regional Delivery teams, increasing efficiency in timber harvesting machinery fleet operations.

This role will focus on emerging strategic initiatives, including the creation of a harvesting data repository and associated analysis, ensuring relevant service contracts are in place, and providing advice and support to staff regarding service contracts, timber sales contracts, and timber harvesting operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic oversight and technical support to Regional Delivery teams
  • Increase efficiency of the FLS timber harvesting machinery fleet
  • Create a harvesting data repository and associated analysis
  • Ensure relevant service contracts are in place
  • Provide advice and support to staff regarding service contracts, timber sales contracts, and timber harvesting operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need experience in:

  • Timber harvesting
  • Associated timber sales
  • Procurement and contract management
  • Pre-felling timber crop surveys

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
