Social Work Assistant

We are recruiting a Social Work Assistant to join our team in the Northern Trust area. As a key member of our Social Care team, you will provide vital support to senior Social Workers and management teams in delivering high-quality services to children and families.
Responsibilities
- Assist social work managers in providing quality social work services
- Complete tasks such as coordinating family support, diversionary and respite services
- Collate essential information and report this back to the Social Worker/Team Manager
- Deliver contact services including supervising contact arrangements
- Report to Team Manager and/or Social Worker immediately all identified safeguarding concerns or other areas of concern or risk identified
Requirements
- Experience working within Child & Family Care or with young people
- NISCC Registration
- 6-12 months previous Social Care experience
- Social Work Degree, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in a Health & Social Care discipline
- Valid UK Driving licence essential and access to a car for work
- Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with parents, young people & social care professionals
What We Offer
Competitive salary: £12.86 per hour
Full Time Hours x 37.5 per week (Part time hours also considered pending experience)
