Job Summary:

The University of Oxford TSS is seeking a Scientific Support Specialist to provide assistance in a laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process bio-waste, including CL3 waste and GMO, for external collection.
  • Highlight incorrectly consigned waste and maintain necessary records.
  • Operate autoclaves following strict protocols.
  • Arrange the return of recyclable materials and glassware.
  • Tour research laboratories to collect used glassware for processing.
  • Deliver materials and consumables throughout the building, replenishing stocks in laboratory store cupboards.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work immediately and on-site if required.
