About the Role

The Lansdowne Club, a prestigious private members club in Mayfair, London, is seeking a highly skilled Courtyard Manager to join its team. As a key member of the Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Courtyard and Bar areas, providing exceptional service to members and guests, and driving revenue growth through innovative promotions and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Excellence
    • Lead service aspects in the Courtyard and Bar areas, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for members and guests.
    • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, providing solutions, and gathering feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Operations Management
    • Manage and monitor departmental budgets, controlling expenses and optimizing revenue streams.
    • Develop and implement effective rota management, ensuring adequate staffing levels and minimizing labor costs.
    • Purchase bar and restaurant consumables and equipment, adhering to budgets and procurement procedures.
  • Team Leadership
    • Assign and direct team members with daily duties, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Lead by example, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Business Development
    • Identify opportunities to drive revenue growth, such as bar promotions, new beverages, and menu items.
    • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote the Courtyard and Bar areas.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure the security and proper storage of inventory and equipment, minimizing waste and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks, addressing any issues promptly and ensuring compliance with Club standards.
  • Communication and Liaison
    • Maintain effective communication with other departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination.
    • Escalate any issues or concerns to the Head of Food and Beverage or Operations Director, as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end hospitality or private members club environment.
  • Skills
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and think on your feet.
    • Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
    • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including purchasing and inventory management.
  • Education
    • Relevant qualifications in hospitality, business, or a related field.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
