Alfa Laval UK&I is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter/Engineer to join our team in Camberley.

This is a full-time role working within our Service Centre in Camberley, where you'll be part of a talented team of Mechanical Fitters/Balancers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Stripping and inspecting Decanters
  • Cleaning equipment using jet washing and chemical cleaning
  • Dismantling and reassembling gearboxes
  • Rebuilding equipment according to guidelines
  • Using technical drawings to assist in disassembly and re-assembly
  • Operating overhead cranes and lifting equipment
  • Understanding Health and Safety protocols and correct PPE demands
  • Balancing Bowls, conveyors, and gearbox shells using dynamic balancing equipment
  • Using welding equipment (TIG welding training provided)

Requirements

You'll need an appropriate apprenticeship or qualification in engineering, along with experience working with hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools in a workshop environment.

You should be able to interpret drawings and technical manuals, including both Imperial and Metric dimensions.

Experience with cranes, slings, and stacker trucks is beneficial, although full training will be provided.
