About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Alfa Laval UK&I. As a Hybrid Engineer, you will be responsible for the reconditioning of Heat Exchangers and components in our Camberley Service Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash down of plates using jet pressure washers
  • Chemical cleaning of units
  • Use of Nitrogen tank for stripping gaskets
  • Use of acid and caustic tanks for chemical cleaning
  • Inspection of plates using fluorescent dye
  • Gluing and applying gaskets
  • Building and integrity testing of heat exchanger units
  • Interfacing with work procedures and time logging systems
  • Routine maintenance of workshop machinery, equipment and chemicals
  • General workshop duties
  • Ensure quality and health and safety procedures are adhered to
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to manage multiple tasks to suit business demand

Field Service Element

As a Hybrid Engineer, you will also be responsible for field service work, which will involve commissioning, servicing and fault finding on new and existing thermal equipment. You will work across the UK and may be required to work offshore.

Requirements

  • Working background in mechanical maintenance engineering
  • Experience with Plate Heat Exchangers is desirable, but not essential
  • Full driving license is essential
