Mental Health Practitioner for Young People

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering high-quality care to children and young people. We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Practitioner for Young People to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- To assess and deliver outcome-focused interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
- To work in partnership with children, young people, and their families to support self-management of presenting difficulties.
- To develop plans for intervention and agreed outcomes in collaboration with children, young people, and their educators.
- To empower children, young people, and their families to make informed choices about the interventions being offered.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or CYP Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker with additional CBT or other relevant therapy postgraduate qualification.
- Experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties.
- Experience of delivering low-intensity therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families.
- Ability to conduct group therapeutic interventions with children and their families.
Competitive Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
