About the Role:As a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in our Merton CAMHS Tier 3 'Getting More Help' Team, you will provide evidence-based treatments for children and young people presenting with moderate to severe mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties. You will work closely with other clinicians from different disciplines and receive quality supervision. The team is warm and friendly, working in an inviting Listed building.
The Single Point of Access (SPA) provides triage and assessments for children, adolescents, and their families experiencing mental health, neurodevelopmental, and emotional health difficulties. You will contribute to the development of specialist mental health advice, guidance, and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to the care of young children and their parents/carers.
The role involves working 3 days in the Tier 3 treatment team, providing direct and indirect evidence-based interventions to young people and families, including working closely with other agencies. Successful candidates will also be supported in developing specialist neurodevelopmental competencies as part of the role and ADOS training is included.
Key Skills and Qualifications:- Demonstrable experience of working with children and young people in mental health settings.
- Experience of safeguarding and Child Protection.
- Qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC as an applied psychologist.
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
We offer a competitive salary of £46,415 - £62,011 per annum, depending on experience. This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires a Disclosure to check for any previous criminal convictions.
