Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Assistant to work with a Secondary School in Havering. As a member of our team, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop strategies and support individual students. Your role will be vital in creating a positive school culture that prioritizes mental health.

About the Role

  • The salary for this position is up to £500 per week paid weekly via PAYE.
  • This is a full-time, term-time only contract starting in September.
  • You will work on a direct 1:1 basis to support individual students, monitoring their progress and providing specialized support as needed.
  • On-the-job training and the opportunity to work with external professionals who can provide valuable insights and guidance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A strong understanding of mental health and various ways to support students.
  • Previous child-centred experience is preferred but not essential.
  • High attaining Psychology Graduates with outstanding GCSEs and A Levels.
