Job SummaryWe are seeking an exceptional Data Analyst Modelling Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will analyse data from experimental studies, integrate results into models for the transmission and control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV) and African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV).
Main ResponsibilitiesOur ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing Models: Create and maintain mathematical models for the spread of FMDV and ASFV, including as decision support tools for policymakers.
- Liaising with Scientists: Collaborate with field and laboratory scientists working on FMDV and ASFV to integrate their results into the models.
- Reporting Outputs: Discuss the models and their use with policymakers and report outputs from the models.
- Publishing Research: Write up modelling work for publication in scientific journals and present research at conferences.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A PhD, or equivalent, with a substantial mathematical modelling component.
- Evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills.
