About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Exercise Referral Instructor to join our team at GLL. As an Exercise Referral Instructor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to improve their fitness, health, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exercise referral programs to eligible adults, providing a supportive and motivating environment to help them achieve their health goals.
  • Conduct assessments to identify individual needs and develop bespoke exercise programs, including demonstrations of equipment and group classes.
  • Chart progress, take measurements, and discuss results with participants, providing guidance and support to help them maintain and improve their physical activity levels.
  • Work collaboratively with other health professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting individuals' health and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • CIMPSA registration with an NVQ Level 3 Fitness Instructor qualification and a Level 3 GP Referral qualification.
  • Experience of delivering lifestyle interventions and working with individuals with low fitness and confidence levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
