Proteomics Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Proteomics Technician to provide technical support to the Proteomics Core Facility at the University of Cambridge. The facility plays a crucial role in tackling proteomic-based problems for the Unit's scientific programmes.

As a Proteomics Technician, you will be responsible for sample preparation, reporting results to scientists, operating and maintaining specialist equipment, and general laboratory maintenance.

Key requirements include a degree in a scientific discipline with practical experience in proteomics sample preparation. Experience with nano LC MS/MS, analysis of peptides and proteins by bottom-up and top-down methods is advantageous. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential, as is the ability to work with precision and accuracy.

The University of Cambridge is a world-renowned institution dedicated to delivering cutting-edge research in toxicology and disease. The Proteomics Core Facility is based in the newly refurbished Gleeson building, central Cambridge.
