Job Title: Laboratory Administrator

Job Summary: Polytec Ltd. is seeking a skilled Laboratory Administrator to manage laboratory operations, engage with users, and develop specialized processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain laboratory operations to ensure full potential is achieved
  2. Engage with users to identify future needs
  3. Develop specialized processes and depositions, conduct experiments, and analyze results
  4. Offer highly specialist technical advice
  5. Ensure safety regulations are followed, conducting risk assessments
  6. Design and maintain laboratory databases for audit purposes

Requirements:

  1. Practical experience with materials deposition and processing technologies
  2. Experience with vacuum technology
  3. Specialist knowledge of health and safety regulations and practice
  4. Good IT skills
  5. High degree of precision and accuracy
  6. Excellent communication and organizational skills
  7. Good numerical skills
  8. Knowledge in materials deposition and processing technology
  9. Degree level qualification or equivalent level of practical experience
  10. Ability to work weekends and out-of-hours for emergency repair and maintenance
