Job Summary

This role will play a pivotal part in shaping our organization's strategy and policy direction, ensuring alignment with our client's overall objectives. As a Policy and Strategy Officer, you will build strong relationships both internally and externally, influence policy decisions, and coordinate the development and implementation of new initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and influence policy decisions
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on strategy and policy matters
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of new initiatives
  • Contribute to evidence-based decision making and support the Strategic Transport Plan (STP) & the three strategic ambitions (economic growth, decarbonisation and reducing transport-related social exclusion)
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified - Ideally Master's degree or equivalent experience but flexible on the degree subject
  • Experience working in a Corporate role, ideally within the Public sector so you are used to Local Authorities, DfT, NHS, Network Rail, National Highways etc.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £47,500 per annum. This role offers hybrid working 2-3 days per week in the office and 2-3 days per week at home, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

About the Role
