As a Policy and Campaigns Officer you will:
- Enable participation by stakeholders, develop expertise in specific topic areas and clearly define sought impacts and outcomes of a policy.
- Understand and support good governance and accountability through the production of robust and challenging evidence-based policymaking advice.
- Gather, interrogate, and explore underlying issues and data to advise stakeholders on decisions that are effective, legal and value for money.
- Develop a good practical knowledge of parliament and parliamentary processes in the House of Commons, House of Lords, and Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
- Design policy implementation and delivery systems in collaboration with delivery partners and users, including how policies will be evaluated and improved.
To be successful as an Policy and Campaigns Officer you will need:
- Ability to adapt style to work effectively with partners, building consensus, trust and respect.
- Ability to present information and arguments clearly and convincingly that influences others and gains buy in using compelling, well thought through arguments.
- Excellent attention to detail, with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Experience of Informing strategy development by identifying gaps in current delivery, taking account of a wide range of needs to inform the Trust’s work.
- Project management experience - working with colleagues across different teams to drive activity to completion, delivering against deadlines in a fast-moving environment and reporting progress.
