Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Paraplanner to join our team at Blakemore Recruitment. As a Paraplanner, you will provide technical support to our team of Financial Advisors, assisting in the delivery of bespoke solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full technical support to the Financial Advisor team, including Directors, Chartered Financial Planners, and Financial Planners.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored financial planning solutions to clients, including advisory and discretionary services.
  • Advanced technical report writing, including research and analysis of financial products and services.
  • Deal with wrap platforms and product providers to obtain information about existing and potential investments.
  • Undertake research to identify suitable solutions to meet clients' needs and objectives.
  • Carry out in-depth product research and analysis to prepare comprehensive financial planning reports.
  • Undertake reviews of client portfolios and compile annual suitability reports.
  • Use financial analysis tools to research and analyze fund performance, volatility, and risk.
  • Prepare cash flow plans for clients and incorporate system outputs into reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of client meetings, emails, letters, and documentation.
  • Handle client queries and provide daily support to existing clients.
  • Maintain awareness of legislative changes and product developments through ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Paraplanner, with a strong technical knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • Diploma Level 4 qualification and working towards Chartered status.
  • Advanced level exams in investments and pensions will be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
  • Experience in supporting Financial Advisors with a range of tasks, including correspondence with product providers and clients.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Proactive and able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to cope well in a busy working environment and manage own case load.
