Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Controller of Finance Operations to join our team on a permanent basis in the Chester area. This role requires significant experience in commercial operations within the Manufacturing/Engineering industry.

Main Duties
  1. Develop and oversee financial strategies for the site.
  2. Support business leaders with informed decision-making.
  3. Implement group financial reporting systems, ensuring accurate data.
  4. Prepare tax packs for the site to meet group tax obligations.
  5. Monitor and manage foreign currency risks.
  6. Establish and maintain effective financial systems to meet customer requirements.
  7. Collaborate with group auditors to ensure seamless site audits.
Essential Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in commercial operations within the Manufacturing/Engineering sector.
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards is advantageous.
  • Detailed knowledge of direct and indirect taxation.
  • Proficient in ERP systems.
