Hays Senior Finance are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller for an established international company based in the Chester area. The company is experiencing growth and expansion, requiring a senior professional to manage financial operations.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead Finance Team: Direct the finance team, including accounting, costing, regulatory reporting, tax, and treasury.
  2. Accurate Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate close activities and reporting from the finance team.
  3. Audit Process: Manage a successful external audit process, maintaining open communication with external auditors.
  4. Tax Compliance: Oversee all tax activities, including corporation tax, VAT, and applicable duties.
  5. Treasury Function: Lead all treasury management activities, including daily forecasting.
  6. Statutory Accounts: Oversee the statutory accounts process and related activities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in statutory accounting, auditing, tax, and internal control. Previous experience in a large Practice followed by industry roles in Financial Accounting/Reporting for complex businesses is preferred. This company values flexibility, offering two days a week home working and adjusted working hours on request. The estimated salary for this position is approximately £85,000, depending on experience, with a competitive pension and performance-related bonus.
