Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Manager to lead our Operational Safeguarding Adults Team and Deprivation of Liberty Teams (DoL).
This permanent, full-time position is based at County Hall, Morpeth. As the Senior Manager of the Safeguarding Adults Team, you will play a critical management and leadership role in safeguarding vulnerable adults from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
You will oversee and manage the delivery of safeguarding services, providing operational direction and support to a team of safeguarding professionals. You will work closely with the Safeguarding Adults Strategic Senior Manager and with external agencies to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
As the Senior Manager for the DoL team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the DoLS process across the directorate, ensuring that individuals who may be deprived of their liberty receive necessary protections and that the local authority meets its statutory responsibilities under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
You will work closely with our legal service and front-line operational teams. The role includes monitoring, analysing, and reporting on statutory data for both service areas.
