Join Our Eating Disorders Treatment Team as a Psychotherapist

Orri is an ambitious, young, and fast-growing company committed to changing the way we treat eating disorders in the UK. We are looking for a skilled eating disorders psychotherapist to join our team.

About the Role

This psychotherapist role is central to the work we do, providing invaluable observation, support, and reflection to clients and team members alike. The successful candidate will provide continuity and support across the programme and throughout the client's time at Orri.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work across online and in-person day care/outpatient settings providing client assessment, client sessions, running groups, attending clinical meetings, and providing client follow-up.
  • Contribute to risk assessment and risk management undertaken by the Multidisciplinary Team using MEED risk management procedures.
  • Support clients and their families when transitioning to other services and work alongside other professionals within and outside of the service.
  • Develop and deliver set group therapy sessions to groups of up to 8 clients and maintain an individual case load of clients.
  • Practice within a legal and ethical framework as defined by National mental health-related legislation, Orri policy, guidelines, and protocols, and relevant registration bodies.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Comply with the BACP or UKCP Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
  • Complete an accredited psychotherapy or counselling training to MSC or equivalent level.
  • Experience delivering individual and group therapies.
  • Experience working with clients who have had an eating disorder.
  • Maintain a professional portfolio for CPD recording learning outcomes through participation in internal and external development opportunities.
  • Ability to critically evaluate current research and apply to practice.
  • Review and reflect on own practice and performance through effective use of professional and operational supervision and appraisal.
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills.

Schedule

24 to 40 hours per week. We are looking for both full-time and part-time candidates.
