About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join our Digital Ticketing Services (DTS) team at the Rail Delivery Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our smart ticketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage and deliver end-to-end projects from initial scoping to transition to live service deployment of DTS initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including Train Operating Companies, suppliers, and internal colleagues.
  • Business Case Development: Build business cases to secure funding for certain projects.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with technical and test specialists to ensure solutions are developed to agreed standards.
  • Issue Escalation: Escalate issues and concerns to DTS Senior Delivery Managers and/or the DTS Programmes & Projects Lead.
Requirements
  • Education: Educated to degree level.
  • Project Management Qualification: Hold a project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or APM, or have significant vocational experience in project management.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Possess good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage and influence stakeholder expectations at all levels within the Rail Delivery Group and the rail industry.
  • Cost and Cash Flow Management: Excellent cost and cash flow management skills.
Desirable Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
  • ITSO Smart Ticketing Solutions: Previous experience of implementing ITSO Smart Ticketing solutions in the rail industry is highly desirable.
