Role Overview

As a Befriender 'Out and About' Volunteer with SeeAbility, you will play a vital role in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and autism who may also have sight loss. Your companionship and support will enable them to participate in activities they enjoy, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide reliable and punctual companionship to individuals in Guildford, attending activities of their choice.
  • Develop strong relationships with individuals, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Assist with sighted guide/orientation when necessary.
  • Adhere to data protection and confidentiality procedures.

Requirements

  • Good sense of humour and ability to engage in conversation.
