About the Role

The Volunteer Befriender will play a vital role in the lives of the people we support, providing companionship and attending activities they enjoy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend activities with individuals, such as concerts, cinema, walks, and shopping trips.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals.
  • Assist with sighted guide/orientation when necessary.
  • Deal with confidential information in line with our data protection procedures.
Requirements
  • Good sense of humour and ability to engage in conversation.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Kind, empathetic, and friendly attitude.
  • Ability to work with vulnerable individuals.
