Location: Redruth, Cornwall

Job Description:

We are seeking a caring and dedicated individual to join our team as a Children's Support Worker at Active Care Group. As a Support Worker, you will be working with a 10-year-old child with complex health needs in their family home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the child with daily living tasks, such as eating, bathing, and personal care
  • Assist with administering medication and monitoring the child's health
  • Engage in activities that promote the child's physical and emotional well-being, such as reading, singing, and playing
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the child and their family
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical and business leadership teams to ensure the child's needs are met

Requirements:

  • Interest in childcare and working with children with disabilities
  • Kind and caring nature, with a good sense of humour
  • Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work a variety of shifts
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with the child, their family, and the care team
