Job Title: SEND Education Support Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEND Education Support Specialist to support the diverse student body. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with SEND needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEND needs in a variety of settings
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEND needs
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to support student learning
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of lessons
  • Support students with personal care needs
  • Assist with the maintenance of student records
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEND needs
  • Knowledge of various SEND needs and strategies to support them
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEND needs
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support (desirable)
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable)
