Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Claims Handler to join our team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing claims across various products, including Property, Liability, Marine and Business Interruption insurance policies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance claims procedures and excellent communication skills. They will also be highly organised and able to work effectively in a team environment.

A competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum is offered, along with a range of benefits, including a death in service benefit of 4 times salary, company pension scheme and flexible benefits package.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage claims from across different products
  • Maintain an efficient diary system for all claims
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of Acturis
  • Provide claims information and reports to the broking department and clients
  • Ensure complex claims are handled in accordance with group procedures
Requirements:
  • Robust experience in insurance claims handling
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of insurance claims procedures
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service experience
  • Acturis system knowledge (desirable)
  • Cert CII or working towards similar qualification
  • Highly organised with great time management skills
  • Positive 'can do' attitude and natural problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
