Lead Security Consultant

Barclays Bank is seeking a highly skilled Lead Security Consultant to spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape. As a key member of our security team, you will drive innovation and excellence in our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, mitigate, and remediate security weaknesses in technology solutions, infrastructure, and platform security.
  • Develop and implement secure systems and architecture across a broad set of security domains, including data security, security risk management, asset security, and security architecture and engineering.
  • Execute security risk assessments and build threat models during the change and development lifecycle to identify vulnerabilities and provide timely communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Enable DevSecOps by providing engagement channels for customers and stakeholders who wish to engage early, seeking security advice and input into their business plans and opportunities.
  • Support and guidance to CISO, CIO, and Product Team functions providing security reviews for prospective 3rd party technology products and services.
  • Transfer residual risks to the business/customer as required by the bank's enterprise risk management framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to support incident response and investigations using knowledge of the bank's technology systems, sharing security insights.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures aligned to the bank's risk tolerance, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
Vice President Expectations
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem-solving processes.
  • Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives.
