Job Overview

Gi Group are recruiting for a Logistics Courier Specialist with driving duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading vans
  • Manual handling of parcels weighing up to 30kg
  • Verifying parcel labels through scanning technology
  • Ensuring safe handling practices to prevent parcel damage
  • Unwrapping and wrapping pallets as needed
  • Inspecting parcels for signs of damage or faults
  • Operating a 3.5-tonne Sprinter van for evening bulk collections

Requirements and Skills:

  • Valid UK Cat B driving license; DBS check required
  • No more than six points on driving license; certain conviction types will be rejected
  • Desirable: experience with 3.5-tonne vans
  • Licence held for minimum 12 months and resident at current address
  • Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic and flexibility
  • Capable of lifting and moving heavy parcels (up to 30kg)
  • Basic Disclosure (DBS) clearance necessary
