Housing Advice Specialist

We are seeking a Housing Advice Specialist to join our team at Red Snapper Recruitment Limited in Bolton.
The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality housing advice and support for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
This is a full-time 37 hours per week, 3-month contract, offering a salary of £15.24 per hour.
Main Responsibilities:
- To provide expert advice on housing options and related matters to customers, including those who may be homeless.
- To conduct assessments and develop plans for customers seeking assistance with housing-related issues.
- To work closely with internal and external agencies to provide comprehensive support services.
- To have a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to housing and homelessness.
- To maintain accurate records and ensure data base records are up-to-date.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in taking homeless presentations and assessments under the Housing Act 1996.
- A strong knowledge of housing law, private rented, and public rented sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team and under own supervision using initiative.
- Demonstrate effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan, develop, and prioritise work.
The successful candidate will also be required to undergo a DBS check at the relevant level.
