Job Overview
Venesky Brown, a public sector organisation in Manchester, is currently seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Infrastructure Specialist until further notice with potential to extend on a rate of £564/day (Inside IR35). This position will primarily be remote based with occasional on-site requirements.

Key Responsibilities
This role involves ensuring the integration, delivery, and operation of infrastructure services as required. Responsibilities include reviewing system designs to ensure appropriate technology selection and efficient resource utilisation. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess strong security knowledge, designing solutions with embedded security controls and mitigating security threats. Other key responsibilities include working with third parties to provide infrastructure services, maintaining dependable IT infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and communicating complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have significant expertise in PowerShell and scripting, with experience configuring anti-malware, intrusion detection, firewalls, and vulnerability scanning systems. Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service platform and hybrid infrastructure is also essential. Additional desirable skills include experience with SQL Server, VMWare vSphere, and Microsoft Azure certification.
