About the Role

Chart Industries is seeking an experienced and skilled individual to lead our 4-year Apprentice Training Programme in HTO-UK. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing the training programme, ensuring participation and completion of required elements, and providing technical guidance to up to 20 apprentices aged between 16-22.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the 4-year Apprentice Training Programme in HTO-UK.
  • Be the line manager and responsible person for up to 20 apprentices.
  • Oversee their training programme and ensure participation and completion of required elements.
  • Have sufficient technical skill and knowledge to teach basic hand tool and simple machining skills to first-year apprentices, progressing up to complex machining and programming.
  • Liaise with external training colleges and other institutions.
  • Operate recruitment and selection programme for new apprentice intake.
  • Manage the Apprentice development programme in-house.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in modern manufacturing management techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work on their own initiative. Knowledge of 5S continuous improvement and recognised Modern Apprenticeship is also desirable.
