About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Information Assurance Security Lead to join our Cyber and Information Resilience (C&IR) team at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our cyber security and information resilience efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cyber assurance strategies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of key workstreams, including third-party risk assessment, post-incident review, threat and vulnerability assessments, security assessment, and penetration testing.
  • Enhance third-party cyber risk monitoring and service-driven assessments using analytical and qualitative methods.
  • Ensure adequate monitoring capabilities for FCA/PSR supply chain are delivered via new tooling and aligning to cyber risk metrics.
  • Assure and report on cyber threats and security vulnerabilities that impact supply chain performance.
  • Guide and manage an operational team with technical expertise, fostering Agile practices to build a high-performing cross-functional team.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for various steering groups, forums, and projects supporting the Operational Assurance Manager.
