Head of Information Security

Aegon is seeking a seasoned information security professional to lead our team in Edinburgh. As Head of Information Security, you will be responsible for defining and implementing our information security strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulation, and providing security assurance within the change process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and assist the CISO in defining and implementing the AUK information security strategy
  • Ensure appropriate management of information security incidents and breaches
  • Provide security assurance within the change process
  • Manage crucial internal & 3rd party relationships, including senior stakeholders and external regulators
  • Enable secure and rapid business transformation by leading the overall delivery of information security
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in a Senior Information Security role, covering a wide range of experience in domains such as design and third-party security assurance, IS operations, security incident response, policy and standards, risk management, and security programme delivery
  • Deep understanding of how to apply information security best practice to large-scale enterprise environments
  • Excellent risk assessment and risk management skills
  • Ability to build trust and inspire and motivate teams
