About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Adults Team at Cheshire West and Chester Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting adults at risk and their families, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and investigations to identify risks and develop effective support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with health professionals, private providers, and voluntary sector organizations to ensure seamless transitions and effective service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with adults at risk, their families, and advocates, providing appropriate intervention and support.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Adult Social Care colleagues and other teams to ensure efficient and timely investigations.
Requirements
  • CQSW/CSS/Diploma/Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Social Work England Registration.
  • Enhanced DBS plus Children's and Adults Barred List.
  • Statutory and policy base of Social Work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, carers, and families.
  • Ability to cope positively with change and promote positive changes.
  • Awareness of importance of multi-disciplinary working and integrated approach.
