Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to join our Acute Neurosciences Therapy team in the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work collaboratively with a dynamic multi-professional team to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective physiotherapy services to patients requiring acute neuroscience care.
Key Responsibilities- To assess, goal plan, and treat patients following admission to hospital, striving to maximise their independence and quality of life.
- To supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapists, support workers, and physiotherapy students.
- To participate in quality improvement, clinical audit, and research projects to enhance the delivery of quality, evidence-based rehabilitation.
- To contribute to the team's extended hours and seven-day working roster to ensure maximum access and delivery of acute neurological rehabilitation.
- Degree in Physiotherapy.
- Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.
- Evidence of continuing professional development at postgraduate level.
- Broad range of experience at Band 5 level, including core areas such as respiratory, orthopaedics, neurology.
- Able to effectively work as part of a multi-professional team for patient benefit.
This role would be suitable for those looking to develop their specialist critical care, respiratory, and neuro skills or a Band 5 Physiotherapist ready to step into a Band 6 role. The salary for this position is £43,141 - £72,679 per annum, depending on experience.
