Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at InfoSec People Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and driving our data governance and data management agenda.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist advice for projects and business change activities to ensure alignment to our Data Standards.
  • Be a key stakeholder in the ongoing development of our UK&I Data Standards, ensuring alignment to global and regional policy and evolving changes in the regulatory and legislative landscape.
  • Contribute to the ongoing adoption of our Data Standards by business stakeholders and influence the maturity and accountability of compliance to the Data Standards across the width of our UK&I business.
  • Analyse identified processing and control activities at a thematic level and work with our Risk & Governance teams to develop remediation plans and help monitor these through to closure.
  • Create and maintain the Controls and Monitoring Assurance plan with clear MI to demonstrate progress, trends, and to drive required outcomes.
  • Own and create the governance record keeping improvement plan and the deployment of enhanced operational controls, through changes to Data360 with supporting education and communication.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of data management best-practice, including data governance, data security, data quality, security, and data loss prevention (DLP).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of policy frameworks and business process management.
  • Knowledge of risk management practices, audit, process, control management, and monitoring best practice.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation pertaining to Data – e.g., Data Protection legislation.
  • Experience of making sound and far-reaching decisions on major issues, taking responsibility for them and implementing within the business whether in a technical, managerial, advisory or specialist role.
