Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational activities, including warehousing, distribution, strategy, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of up to 250 employees, ensuring excellent customer relationships and financial objectives are achieved.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop and manage the operational site budget, ensuring financial objectives are achieved while maintaining service and quality.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support the business appetite to drive innovation and adopt new technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • A Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain Background - Essential.
  • 8+ Years proven General Management / Head of Department leadership experience across Warehouse & Transport operations within a 3PL / FMCG / Food environment - Essential.
  • Previous budgetary responsibility across large-sized DC operations in excess of +£50m - Essential.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams - Essential.
  • Prior commercial knowledge of the UK logistics and warehousing market - Essential.
  • An individual truly excited by large-scale growth challenges - Essential.
