Sword Group is seeking a Subsurface Data Manager to play a vital role in supporting exploration and production activities through effective management of subsurface data.

As part of our inclusive and supportive culture, the successful candidate will lead data quality assessments, maintain data inventories, and collaborate with geoscience colleagues to optimize data management practices.

About the Role:

  • The Subsurface Data Manager will oversee the acquisition, storage, and integration of subsurface data.
  • Conducting data quality assessments and enforcing standards is a key responsibility.
  • Delivering and maintaining well & seismic data management services is essential to this role.
  • Providing data quality control and synchronization across projects will ensure data integrity.
  • Maintaining data inventories and optimizing data for efficient access and analysis is crucial.
  • Leading or participating in establishing data management practices will contribute to a robust and standardized approach.

Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Proven experience in subsurface data management within the energy sector.
  • Experience with Petrel, OpenWorks, and Recall software is essential.
  • Knowledge of data integration and workflow automation techniques is highly valued.
  • Understanding of data governance and security protocols is crucial for maintaining data integrity.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working effectively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of geoscience and drilling workflows will contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the data landscape.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of Power BI would be beneficial for data visualization and reporting.
