About the Role

Sword Group is seeking a highly skilled Subsurface Data Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the acquisition, storage, and integration of subsurface data to support exploration and production activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the acquisition, storage, and integration of subsurface data to ensure seamless data management.
  • Conduct thorough data quality assessments and enforce data standards to maintain data integrity.
  • Deliver and maintain well and seismic data management services for E&P application projects and corporate databases.
  • Provide data quality control and synchronization across multiple projects and corporate repositories.
  • Maintain accurate data inventories and optimize data while applying agreed standards.
  • Support geoscience colleagues by leading and participating in establishing data management practices and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in managing subsurface data within exploration and production contexts.
  • Experience with applications such as Petrel, OpenWorks, and Recall.
  • Strong data integration and workflow automation skills to enhance efficiency.
  • Knowledge of data governance and security protocols to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
  • A proactive and coordinated approach to identifying anomalies and resolving problems.
  • Knowledge of geoscience and drilling workflows.

Desirable Skills

It would be beneficial if you also have experience with Power BI.
