Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience



Job Description:




  • To deliver high-quality computing curriculum and ensure excellent teaching and learning outcomes for our students.
  • To promote interest in the subject outside the classroom and foster a love for learning among our pupils.
  • To contribute to the broader life of the school by supporting and leading curricular and extra-curricular events.


Responsibilities:




  • Promote excellence in teaching and learning to ensure all pupils develop their potential.
  • Actively promote the department within the school community to encourage pupils' interest in the subject area.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain good order and discipline among pupils, managing behaviour effectively to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Support and lead curricular and extra-curricular events such as school productions and activity days.


Requirements:




  • Qualified teacher status with a degree in Computing or a related subject.
  • Successful secondary teaching experience, preferably with pupils who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Good knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to enable effective dialogue with colleagues, staff, and visitors.
