Job Title: Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner to join our team in Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based knowledge and skill.

About the Role

The Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner will lead on clinical and service development of the APP service and musculoskeletal Physiotherapy team. They will provide teaching and supervision of clinicians and students to help shape the future workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based knowledge and skill.
  • Lead on clinical and service development of the APP service and musculoskeletal Physiotherapy team.
  • Provide teaching and supervision of clinicians and students to help shape the future workforce.
  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with clinical colleagues to develop services and quality of care delivered.
Person Specification
  • Demonstrable post-graduate experience in a relevant area.
  • Extensive post-graduate experience in a role undertaking assessment and management of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic patients.
  • Extensive post-graduate experience managing patients with undifferentiated pain and ability to demonstrate an advanced knowledge of red flags and their management.
  • Extensive post-graduate experience in a role undertaking assessments of complex needs.
  • Experience of working with people with long-term illness and/or older people.
  • Clinical experience of caring for people with cognitive impairment.
  • Experience of working across professional boundaries.
  • Experience of change/leading service development.
  • Experience of clinical leadership.
