Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Fundraising Event Coordinator to join our team in Swale (ME9, ME10, ME11, ME12, ME13). As a Fundraising Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering local fundraising events to raise vital funds for our feline friends.
The role involves coordinating cake sales, quiz nights, barn dances, and other events in Mid-Sussex (RH15, RH16, RH17, BN6, BN45). You will work closely with the treasurer to provide information on funds raised from these events.
You will need your own transport to attend events, ideally a car or van, as items, stock, and equipment will be required.
This is a flexible role, and there may be opportunities for remote work if desired.
As a Fundraising Event Coordinator, you will develop new skills, expand your knowledge, and make a significant contribution to improving the lives of cats and kittens.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver local fundraising events to raise vital funds for Cats Protection.
- Coordinate with the treasurer to provide information on funds raised from events.
- Ensure all necessary licenses and permits are obtained for events.
- Knowledge of your local community.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
We estimate that this role will require approximately 2-3 hours of work per week, which can be shared by multiple volunteers. The wellbeing of our people is essential, and we are committed to safeguarding children, adults at risk, and all those we come into contact with.
SalaryWe estimate that this role is worth £8-10 per hour, based on the responsibilities and requirements of the position. This translates to an annual salary of £4,096-5,200 per year, assuming a 20-hour workweek.
