Role Summary

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking an experienced and dedicated Children & Families Team Manager to lead their team in Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the unit actively plans for safety, permanency, and stability for children and young people, contributing to the overarching strategy of Bristol Children's Social Care Services, and taking action against child abuse. About the Role

As a Children & Families Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading a well-structured and organised team, ensuring critical reflection and constructive challenge are featured in all case work undertaken by the unit. You will also work closely with the Area Manager on complex/high-risk decision making and direct and evaluate case and individual pieces of work as necessary to ensure desired outcomes for children, young people, and families.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, manage, guide, and develop the practice and performance of staff within the unit.
- Ensure critical reflection and constructive challenge are featured in all case work undertaken by the unit.
- Contribute to the overarching strategy of Bristol Children's Social Care Services.
- Ensure the unit actively plans for safety, permanency, and stability for children and young people regardless of the setting in which they have been placed.
- Assume responsibility for taking action against child abuse.
- Hold overall responsibility as lead practitioner for case work within the unit, ensuring a systemic approach is deployed.

Requirements and Qualifications

- HCPC Registration
- 1-2 years post-qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
- Eligibility to work in the UK

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
