Autism Support Specialist

As an experienced ASC teaching assistant, you will be working in a specialist school near Preston, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition. Your role will involve providing 1-2-1 support and small group support to pupils with ASC.
The ideal candidate will have experience in similar roles and possess a calm and resilient manner, as some students may display challenging behaviour. A DBS check and safeguarding certificate are essential requirements for this position.
We offer free continued professional development courses, including safeguarding and behaviour management, as well as an in-house training and development team. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain experience within a primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with SEN, particularly those with Autism
- Building rapport with children and acting as a mentor
- Providing environments that enable students to reach their full potential
