As a Reconciliations Associate, you will work closely with internal partners and external parties to ensure the accurate and timely reconciliation of cash and position reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with global teams to ensure the accurate and timely reconciliation of cash and position reconciliations.
  • Perform controls and procedures to ensure that all cash and stock positions are reconciled in line with client / regulatory / Barings' standards.
  • Perform tasks to ensure the accurate management of breach investigation and the escalation of aged items through to resolution as appropriate.
  • Work closely with front office and business partners to provide daily operational support relating to the Reconciliation and Cash Management functions.
  • Assist with the import and validation of internal and external data into the reconciliations system.
  • Assist with the validation of internal and external data into the reconciliations system and the subsequent matching of records to identify cash and stock breaks that require further investigation.
  • As required, participate in business projects impacting Cash and Position Reconciliations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Full understanding of Cash and Position Reconciliations processing.
  • Solid understanding of operational risks and controls.
  • Able to understand urgency, multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork ethic while also having the ability to function without explicit direction, challenge yourself to learn new things and continually improve.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in financial services.
  • Recent and relevant experience in Reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of Investment Management processes.
