About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our Home Treatment Team in North East Kent. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide home treatment services to individuals in crisis, working collaboratively with service users, carers, and other professionals.
  • Work as a member of the Home Treatment Team and Rapid Response team, providing intensive home treatment and support to patients and their families.
  • Apply evidence-based, profession-specific, and general mental health knowledge to provide client-centered, recovery-orientated care.
  • Work in accordance with Trust and Home Treatment Team policies and procedures, as well as the Care Programme Approach.

Person Specification
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Experience within acute mental health services, including liaising with stakeholders and working 24-hour shift patterns.
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders, legislative frameworks, and risk assessment and management principles.
