Nursery Practitioner Role

The Sheffield College is seeking a skilled Nursery Practitioner to join their team. This role involves providing a high-quality nursery facility within the College, catering to the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of children.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a warm, friendly, and stimulating environment that fosters the development of children. This includes planning and implementing activities that promote emotional, social, and educational growth, while ensuring the provision of a high-quality environment that meets the needs of individual children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Promote an educationally stimulating environment in accordance with Every Child Matters and Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
- Develop a strong interest in the children and their families, treating them with respect and individuality at all times.
- Ensure the provision of a high-quality environment that meets the needs of individual children, taking into account any disabilities, family cultures, and medical histories.
- Advise the manager or deputy of any concerns and provide support for children with special educational needs.
- Maintain good standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times.
Requirements:
- Relevant Childcare Qualification (NVQ3 or equivalent)
- First Aid at Work Certificate or willingness to work towards
- Ability to plan nursery activities incorporating the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
- Good timekeeping
