Assistant Head Job Opportunity

Cambian Dunbroch School, a leading independent co-educational day school, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Head to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Headteacher in the overall management of the school, including strategic planning and implementation of school policies.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a leadership role, with excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. They will be able to inspire and motivate staff and students, and have a deep understanding of SEN best practices and current educational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Headteacher in the overall management of the school, including strategic planning and implementation of school policies.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of a tailored curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our students.
  • Mentor and support teaching staff, providing professional development opportunities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the well-being and academic progress of all students, implementing effective support strategies and interventions.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure the school meets all regulatory requirements and maintains the highest standards of safeguarding.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: QTS
  • Proven experience in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth understanding of SEN best practices and current educational policies.
